Experience the Magic Live

Gary Levinson, violin — Magdalene Ho, piano

Ever wondered what the world’s most famous instrument sounds like live? This performance offers a rare, unforgettable opportunity to experience the incomparable voice of a genuine 1726 Antonio Stradivari violin. Do not miss this chance to hear millions of dollars of musical history brought to life in an intimate setting by two generational talents.

Gary Levinson is the celebrated Senior Principal Associate Concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth. Born in St. Petersburg, he began his musical journey at just five years old before training at Juilliard under the legendary Dorothy DeLay, Glenn Dicterow, and Felix Galimir. Personally chosen by Zubin Mehta for the New York Philharmonic, Levinson made his brilliant solo debut with the orchestra in 1991 and went on to claim top prizes at the world-renowned Romano Romanini (Brescia) and Jacques Thibaud (Paris) competitions. Having shared the stage with icons like Yo-Yo Ma, Lynn Harrell, and Jaap van Zweden, he commands the stage with his magnificent 1726 Stradivarius.

Partnering with him is Magdalene Ho, a breathtaking virtuoso taking the international classical scene by storm. Born in California in 2003, she captured global headlines in 2023 as the youngest finalist to completely sweep the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition—taking home the grand prize alongside the Audience, Young Critics, and Children's Corner awards. In 2024, she made history yet again as the very first woman to win the prestigious International German Piano Award. Following nine years on full scholarship at the Purcell School, she now refines her craft at London's Royal College of Music under Dmitri Alexeev. A powerhouse performer, she has already graced stages with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Orchestra della Scala, and left a lasting impression at the 2025 Van Cliburn Competition.

"A big, gleaming tone which glowed sweetly when quiet... considerable virtuosity."
— DallasNews.com (on Gary Levinson)
"Old World, edgy yet sweet and tinged with dark melancholy."
— South Florida Classical Review (on Gary Levinson)
"Not interpreting so much as inhabiting the music."
— Jed Distler, International Piano (on Magdalene Ho)
"Boundless imagination and character, not to mention transcendental virtuosity."
— Jed Distler, Gramophone (on Magdalene Ho)
