About

About

Andrew Blanch is that truly rare musician, who combines profound musical intelligence, curiosity and passion with a technique that allows anything.  A complete artist.
Howard Penny, Chamber Orchestra of Europe

Named one of the World’s Top 30 Guitarists under 30 and hailed as a “virtuoso of the fingerstyle guitar” by Acoustic Guitar Magazine, Calum Graham is a captivating force in the acoustic music scene.

Born in Fort St. John, British Columbia, and now based in Victoria, Canada, Calum’s meteoric rise began when he won the Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Competition at just 17. Since then, he has toured the world, including performances at the Vancouver and London Olympics, and released 10 critically acclaimed albums.

His live repertoire is a tapestry woven from the Acoustic Guitar, interweaving original compositions with traces of folk, world, soul, blues, and jazz, all anchored in his virtuosic mastery of fingerstyle technique inspired by Michael Hedges, Don Ross, Andy McKee, and Antoine Dufour.

Join us for an evening with Calum Graham, where innovative compositions meet breathtaking skill. Experience the magic of one of the world’s finest young guitarists as he takes you on a musical journey that will linger long after the final note. Don’t miss Calum’s inaugral Australian tour!

“I know beautiful hands when I see them now, and I understand how important they are to manifesting your ideas. Calum has them, and puts them to good use as he seeks out both texture and melody in his compositions”

“Andrew Blanch is a gift to the guitar. Rarely does this instrument enjoy being played by someone of such musicality. His playing changes the air in a room and his career will be a delight to follow as it unfolds.”

“Andrew’s playing is outstanding because he plays from the heart… He plays the music he loves and the audience goes with him. He is very likely to become one of the leading lights of Australian performance ”

“Calum Graham is an amazing guitarist. He is the rare kind of artist who is not only a great virtuoso on his instrument, but also a wonderful composer. I had the good fortune of being his tour mate on the 2017-18 International Guitar Night Tour. Playing and traveling with him was always a joy but the most interesting part of our relationship was that every night, during some 60 or so concerts throughout Europe and North America, I always made it a point to go into the audience and enjoy his solo set. I was usually smiling, like a happy fan, but at times, I was moved to tears. The guitar loving public has much to look forward to as Calum’s career progresses.”
